About Trunk Camp Co

Trunk Camp Co is a small, independent buying-guide site focused on one narrow problem: finding gear that actually packs efficiently into a car trunk, sets up without a fight, and holds up to a weekend outdoors — car camping specifically, not ultralight backpacking, where the tradeoffs are different.

Who runs this site

Trunk Camp Co is operated by Acies Partners LLC. This is not a large publication with a dedicated gear-testing lab, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. It's an editorial site built around researching product categories carefully, comparing publicly available specifications, and writing straightforward guidance about what to look for — rather than around hands-on product testing we haven't actually done.

How this site makes money

Trunk Camp Co participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and Walmart's affiliate program. When a link on this site leads to a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to the buyer. Full details are on our disclosure page. Affiliate income is how the site stays running, but it doesn't change what we write: where we recommend one product or category over another, it's based on our own editorial judgment about what fits the criteria we lay out, not on which link pays more.

Editorial approach

We do not claim to have personally tested, owned, or used the specific products we discuss unless we say so explicitly and clearly on that page. Every product we list is a real, currently-sold listing with a verified ASIN — but we haven't completed a live price or rating check on most categories yet, and we say so plainly on every product card rather than publish numbers we haven't confirmed. Our goal is genuine, well-reasoned buying advice grounded in real product criteria and publicly available specifications — not manufactured authority.
